My friends at The Toy Insider and The Pop Insider really know how to throw a party. They really upleveled their annual Holiday of Play event with the reveal of this year’s hottest toys and collectibles!
You can check out The Toy Insider’s 2019 Holiday Gift Guide for more details on their top 20 toys, the best STEM toys and gifts ideas for different age groups. Here are some of my favorite toys, trends, and gift ideas from the event!
Kindi Kids from Moose Toys
These toddler-size versions of the Shopkins Shoppie Dolls are super cute! Kindi Kids have these adorable, sparkly big eyes, wobbly heads and candy-color outfits. The 10-inch versions of Peppa-Mint, Donatina, Jessiecake and Marsha Mellow are a great introduction for little ones to the world of Shopkins! There’s also the Kindi Fun Supermarket and Kindi Fun Refrigerator play sets that are perfectly sized for the Kindi girls. (ages 3+)
Friends’ Central Perk Cafe from LEGO
Fans can build their own Central Perk Cafe while they binge watch episodes of Friends! The set includes more than 1,000 lego pieces and minfig versions of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey – and Gunther. It’s got the famous orange couch and a spot where Phoebe can peform Smelly Cat. (ages 16+)
Crayola Glitter Dots
I love glitter but I hate the mess. Crayola Glitter Dots craft sets solve everything! These squishy glue dots are filled with glitter and can be used to decorate art projects. Plus, they’re super fun to squish! (ages 5+)
Foodie Surprise Yolkies from Redwood Ventures
I just love these cute surprise eggs! The Yolkies contain edible slime on one side and an adorable little mystery figure on the other. I especially love the cutie in the pineapple costume!
Hatchimals Llalacorn from SpinMaster
The newest Hatchimals critter – a Llalacorn – comes in a re-hatchible egg. Its neck can grow up to 32 inches and shrink back down. And it has all the moods, sounds and interactions that make Hatchimals so much fun. (ages 5+)
80s throwbacks from Basic Fun
The 80s are back in all their bright, bold gloriousness with lots of fun toys from Basic Fun. Cuddle up with a Pound Puppy, practice words with a Speak & Spell, create pictures with Lite-Brite, and brush up on your Pac-Man skills!
Harry Potter gifts & more from Hallmark
Harry Potter fans will be easy to shop for this year at Hallmark Stores! Dumbledore and Dobby are among the adorable itty bitty plushies. Decorate your tree with wizard ornaments and a Hogwarts castle tree topper! I love the decorative signs and the time turner perpetual calendar. Accio everything!
Ballerina Dreamer from Hunter Products
My little nieces take ballet lessons and I think they would just love to play with Ballerina Dreamer Magical Dancer. Little dancers can use the crown on her head to help her twirl and move just like they do.
